HELLO!!!!
Today I want to share a design team project from The Cutting Cafe. This weeks’ challenge was to upcycle a can or bottle of some sort. I LOVE this idea and thought that I could use it as a 2-n-1. I can make a project and use it as a gift!! How cool is that?? Anyway here is what I created:
It turned out SO CUTE an festive!! I used Starbucks glass bottles to created these lighted home decor items. I soaked the bottles in warm sudsy water and added a cap of bleach.
They turned out squeaky clean!
I then painted the bottle with a primer and paint in one by Rustoleum. It worked well!
After that I sprayed the bottles with spray glue and added the EPSOM salt for texture. I topped that with MOD PODGE and let dry over night. Once that was complete, I wrapped some twine around the nape of the neck to give it some sass! I added the ornament (dollar tree) and the sentiment that can be found on The Cutting Cafe’s website here.
I filled the bottle with the lights that I got from Target $1 spot (but for $3) and topped it with picks I found at Michaels and The Dollar Tree.
If you’d like to see how I put it together – you can view the video here:
Thanks for stopping by!!
Hugs,
Tmika
