Hey guys!!!
Thanks for stopping by!! If you are coming from my YOUTUBE channel then you have already seen the visual tutorial of how I made these LUSCIOUS BATH BOMBS. The written recipe is written below this post. If you havent yet checked out my video and how I put my baskets together – then please take a moment to do so – here:
Here is a picture of how one of them turned out:
I LOVE IT!! Better yet – I LOVE how they all smell. The combination of the LUSH-ish ball and the bath salts – SOO RELAXING!!! I spray painted some bottles that I got from Hobby Lobby. I didn’t like those as they were not air tight. So I found some cute little ones at Target. I grabbed the last 2 sets as that was the last of it!! I loved how cute these were ( great for coworker or teacher gifts) I looked for something similar and I found these on Amazon and purchased them right away!!
Look how cute they salts look in tiny form:
Here are the original ones:
Still Cute!! I then wrapped up some spa pads to go along with the set. I coordinated the paper with the color of the bottles I spray painted. Here is the set of 3 I made:
LOVE the gold one!! SO now its time to make those LUSH* bath bombs!!! Here’s a quick peek at the two batches I made. I got 7 half spheres out of each batch mixture – Lemon Smell ( with yellow food coloring)
…and Peppermint smell (with red food coloring) you can get Peppermint Essential Oil here
Ahhh….the smell in my craft room is AH-MAZE-ING!!!!
I wrapped these little babies in skrink wrap – once they dried for 24-48 hours.. I got the shrink wrap from The Dollar Tree.
Ok, now to the GOOD PART – the recipe for the FAUX LUSH BATH BOMBS!!!
1 CUP OF BAKING SODA
1/2 CUP OF CORN STARCH
1/2 CUP OF EPSOM SALT
1/2 CUP OF CITRIC ACID
2 1/2 TBSP COCONUT OIL
3/4 TSP WATER
2 TSP ESSENTIAL OIL
FOOD COLORING
WHISK
BOWLS
CIRCLE MOLD ( I used an ornament that I cut in half that I purchased from The Dollar Tree) But you can get them here for $2.
Mix all the dry ingredients and wet ingredients separately. SLOWLY mix the wet into the dry.. by the drop almost!! Once completely mixed, it should feel like moist sand. Pack the mixture into the mold and release. Let set for 24-48 hours. Let wrap as desired.
Now – here is the BATH SALT recipe:
EPSOM SALT ( DEPENDS ON CONTAINER)
FOOD COLORING ( 1-2 DROPS – MORE OR LESS DEPENDING ON HOW YOU LIKE IT)
ESSENTIAL OIL ( 15 DROPS – LITTLE MORE OR LESS DEPENDING ON HOW YOU LIKE IT)
EASY PEASY – RIGHT??? I do hope you decide to make these AWESOME BATH pieces – you will delfinately LOVE THE FEEL!!
